The Pantry café at the Stables is situated within an existing horse riding club structure in central Singapore. A large indoor hall was fitted with new glass windows that open on both allowing for natural cross ventilation and views out to gardens and grassed horse fields beyond.
Original timber floors were black ebonized whilst walls and beams finished in a neutral white. Panels of timber-framed mirrors and a hessian/jute upholstered screen flank the ends of the linear space.
The full interior design included custom-designed furniture and light fittings. In keeping with the previous furnishings for Marmalade Pantry in Singapore, chairs are Alvar Aalto classics by Artek Finland.
